It's football time, people! Yabba-Doba-do!

It's 11:33 a.m. eastern and I'm on my couch for just the second Saturday since July. We'll be here blogging all day (with perhaps a prolonged bout of radio silence between 2 and 4 p.m. as someone goes outside to get some extracise). But I'll definitely be blogging college football's most glamorous game year in and year out (UCLA-USC), as well as the SEC and Big 12 championship games (a.k.a., The Fiasco Bowls) and keeping tabs on North Texas-Florida International (the Misera Bowl). And I'll be here until the final snap of Huskies-Hawaii, too.

And it's all free....

In the spirit of Bill Simmons' marathon charity podcast earlier this week, I'm proposing a Push-up Pledge Party. You can write in and pledge whatever amount you want for each push-up I do today and then we'll donate the money to the Jimmy V Foundation. Personally, I've never understood the entire concept of "I-get-in-shape-and-you-pay-for-it-for-charity"....I'd rather donate money for someone to clean my bathroon.

So, if you live close enough and want me to clean your bathroom (and blog), I'll do that, too, for a donation. Or you can come over and clean mine and I'll donate $50 to the V. Otherwise, it's push-up pledge party.

Other things to look forward to today:

--A running tally of GEICO ads (so far, "1"...but I've only been watching for ten minutes)

--A running tally of times games are stopped for reviews

--I need you to participate in a "best sign seen" exercise. Last Sunday reader Ellen Melson wrote to propose this idea, providing her favorite from the day before:

"I"m not an Ole Miss player, but I did steal something from a Holiday Inn Express last night."
