ROSE BLOOMING
Just sprained my ankle jumping from one conclusion to another.
Derrick Rose, after going scoreless for more than 24 minutes, finally got on the board again with a powerful lay-up at the 12:10 mark of the second half. Since then Rose has buried two more shots and delivered a sweet assist to Robert Dozier.
KU, to their dismay, has finally given Rose a little breathing room at the top of the key and he is making them pay. It's 49-47.
Give Memphis credit. Down five at the half, they tied the score before Kansas even got the ball across midcourt in the second half.
Rose just scored again. 51-47, Tigers.
Brandon Rush has been very quiet since halftime. Just two second-half points for the Jayhawks. They're a little off-balance at the moment. He needs to step up. I'm sure by my next blog entry, he'll have 20 points.
