Now Reporting, Ed Weirder

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin - The other day, ESPN's Ed Werder reported that Brett Favre was "mulling whether to consider" the Packers multimillion dollar offer of becoming their franchise hood ornament.

So he was thinking about thinking about it, Ed? Solid. Way to advance things.

Today, with Favre having lit out of Lambeau without practicing and still doing his, "I'm wicked conflicted" thing, Werder reports that Favre is "Contemplating discussing the possibility of a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers."

Thinking about talking about it?

Look, I know these guys are busting azz to get stuff first and you have to feed the maw with something. God knows, I'm not exactly Woodward and Bernstein on this one. But we're clearly past the "fling it against the wall and see what sticks" part of the program and into the "fling it against the wall regardless" portion.

Currently, I'm headed to the Mike McCarthy press conference. McCarthy, I've learned, has been contemplating the possibility of considering what to say to the media when this press conference begins.

So Tom having fun sitting around waiting for people to consider mulling over the potential options for the end of the world because I'd say its 50-50 that Jesus shows up wearing #4 on Lambeau Field before Favre does....
