The Boss Is Heading To Tampa...Maybe

Oh baby, if this is true...

About the only thing that could ruin the Super Bowl now is the Patriots winning. Or if Bruce and Silvio accidentally make out, which has been an unfortunate possibility at every Springsteen concert ever.

We'll begin the speculation. Figure he plays three songs, and these are probably a lock:

1. Radio Nowhere (new album)

2. Born To Run (defining song)

But what'll the third song be? Right now, the guess is Badlands.

Your thoughts?

Badlands or Thunder Road

Might be wishful thinking for somethink like Jungleland or Rosalita (I don't think Bruce would sellout on the song, even for the SB). I'm going to go with an upset and say Born in the U.S.A.

Rosalita and Jungeland are too long for unfortunately for a Superbowl halftime. I guess Radio nowhere, Born to Run, a cover (he's big on covers right now, possible a twist and shout for American Land), and a song everyone can get into like a Dancing in the Dark or (fingers crossed) Thunder Road.

Dear Matthew:

You seem to really, really like Bruce Springsteen.

Interesting stuff.

Great. If Obama gets elected Springsteen will be in a festive mood and get right down to performing.

If McCain gets elected we'll hear Bruce go on one of his patented "this country's going down the toilet" rants. Maybe he'll actually get around to playing some music if he has any time left over.

I think it'll go something like this:

Born To Run, Born In The U.S.A., Badlands, and the Rising, but that's just my opinion...Maybe Thunder Road too
