The Denver Broncos continue to collect new players via free agency.
Capping a day on which they added former Eagles safety Brian Dawkins, former Dolphins safety Renaldo Hill, and former Patriots receiver Jabar Gaffney, the Broncos agreed to terms with former Colts defensive tackle Darrell Reid, according to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com.
Earlier this month, Reid was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing. The charges were later dropped.
Marvez also mentions that agreements have been reached with former Cardinals running back J.J. Arrington and former Eagles running back Correll Buckhalter. At one point on Friday, there were conflicting reports as to whether they had indeed signed.
But we're in disagreement with Marvez on one point. He says that Dawkins hasn't signed; we've heard from someone who has seen the contract that he has.
Bottom line? As Gregg Rosenthal of NBC/Rotoworld points out, new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels seems to be taking a page from the original Bill Belichick/Scott Pioli approach in New England, signing a lot of second-tier players and letting them battle it out to see who sticks.

At the Nuggets game last night he told some reporters that he wanted to sleep on it. Also in the Philly papers they got a message from his agent that the deal wasn't done yet.
I guess until their is a press conference no one really knows what is going on.

I'm loving the Eagles, not only did they let Mr. Eagle go, they gave a guy that's on crutches because he had a total knee reconstruction a month ago a contract that pays like 7 million per season. They obviously brought him in to babysit his baqby brother Shawn, who couldn't make it to training camp last year because he got depressed.
Yeah, well I saw the contract that Larry Fitzgerald signed a contract with the Eagles after the Cards traded him for Reno Mahe (recently re-acquired FA), Greg Lewis, AJ Feeley and a Tastykake.

From the Philadelphia Inquirer: "Free agent Brian Dawkins visited with the Denver Broncos yesterday, but the 35-year-old safety had not signed with the Broncos as of early today, an NFL source familiar with the negotiations said. "It is not done," the source said. The Oakland Raiders were apparently also interested in Dawkins, and the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Dawkins had agreed to a two-year deal with the Broncos. A Broncos spokesman told The Inquirer that no announcement was scheduled. A report out of Denver, where Dawkins attended last night's Nuggets basketball game, speculated that Dawkins might resume negotiating with the Eagles."
NFL Network is reporting that the deal is all but signed, Eagirls locker room is in chaos because they can't believe that management let him get away.
