BROOKING LANDS WITH THE 'BOYS

Well, the farewell statement from the Falcons now makes sense.

Though not yet announced, Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports that veteran linebacker Keith Brooking has signed a three-year deal with the Cowboys.

The move likely confirms that the Cowboys won't be making a play for Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, and it reunites Brooking with former Falcons defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who's now the head coach and defensive coordinator in Dallas.

That three-year deal better be on the CHEAP. The average age of the Boys FA acquisitions is now 34 years old.

Look on the bright side, joaquinfenix, at least they're signing guys that can run (unlike the Eagirls, who signed a guy that's barely a month removed from major knee reconstruction for about 7 million per season).

Or I could just say never.

If you want to scoreboard, the only relevant scoreboard is:

Cowboys: 5, Eagles: 0

this is the dumbest thing the cowboys could have ever done

Not the dumbest thing.Sign a good player with some time left in him and will provide some leadership to an immature team. Its just what the cowboys should do.Ray Lewis is declining as well but would have provided the same leadership at twice the price.

Go Cowboys.

Florio,

Golly dude, you will do anything to avoid giving any credit to the National Football Post, huh?

They reported this story first, yet you wait until a big dog picks it up just to spite them. Afraid of a little competition with talent are we?

Wow. Lousy journalism.
