DAWKINS NOT DONE IN DENVER

Contrary to reports linking free-agent Eagles safety Brian Dawkins to the Denver Broncos, Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the deal "definitely" isn't done.

"He's in the air, on plane, not even in Denver yet," Schefter says.

Earlier in the day, David White of the San Francisco Chronicle reported that an agreement was reached.

God, I hope we don't loose Dawkins!!! He is the heart and soul of this defense and should be retiring an Eagle. PFT, please tell us what your thoughts are on this. Do you think the Eagles will offer a better deal to keep him?

Florio, I cant take this anymore! Either he is coming back to Philly or he isnt! Dont post another thing about Weapon X until you are 100% positive. I already cried once over him leaving and if you are giving me false hope with this post ill NEVER forgive you!!!

Any word on Lito being delt to the Jets? Chris Mortensen reported it earlier on ESPN 950 radio in philly about an hour ago. Also apparently TJ Housh's agent tried to pull one over on the Eagles and they are not happy.... he won't be an Eagle

It is a disgrace to arguably the greatest player in franchise history for this mess to even be going on. Yes, he is on the downside of his career. No, he is not the same Dawkins as we have loved. But he is still a GOOD player and the heart and soul of the team. He should have been signed weeks ago. He has earned being slightly overpaid for two years. We are $40 million under the cap, this is just ridiculous. This is shaping up to be a very sad day in Eagles history. Do the right thing front office.

If we keep him good, if we don't better. This is business especially NFL business. As a fan I would hate to see him go. You cannot replace an emotional and locker room leader as he is or was...but also as a fan we need a change in this defense. Dawkins best at the line but he's lost some footwork i.e. not being able to step back into coverage. which is where the eagles struggled most late in recent games. One of them being the championship game also 4 years ago in the superbowl. This gives us a chance to see if quinton demps; a young physical player who under the tutelage of BD in the previous year, can be the player who we're all talking about 13 years from now. It is time to mold another pro bowl caliber player. TOSUXBALLZ, read a book.

Zero rings before dawkins, zero after. Disgrace to the nfc east. At least 3 rings with every team except for the shitty birds who can't manage one. 6 in Penn, 2 teams, 0 from filthy.

Zeros a dumbass... before he posted and after he posted... dipshit, what are you a bandwagon steelers fan? Or worse a Cowboys fan... nvm must be steelers since you get such a hard on for their Superbowl wins...
