EMOTIONAL DAWKINS CAN'T CONTINUE WITH INTERVIEW
If there was any doubt about safety Brian Dawkins' feelings for the Eagles or the city of Philadelphia, there should be none now.
In an interview with Derrick Gunn of Comcast SportsNet in Philly, an audibly emotional Dawkins had to end the segment after less than two minutes. (Hat tip to SportsRadioInterviews.com.)
Dawkins, who whipped himself into a frenzy before every game and whose "Can you feel that?" bit from the beginning of Madden '08 still gives me chills just thinking about it, is the kind of guy every football player should be. (This one is pretty good, too.)
Think of it this way -- if every football player were wired like Dawkins, every game would be a truly memorable event. Even the ones in the preseason.
The good news is that Dawkins will still be playing. And we've got a feeling that some blue, white, and orange jerseys with his name and number will be popping up at Eagles' games in 2009.
Especially when the Broncos come to town for their once-in-every-eight-years visit.

What are you talking about? Brian Dawkins is an incredible football player. One of the best I've ever seen.
First im a Giants fan... Brian Dawkins is one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He plays with so much passion i would of loved to have him on my team. GiantChampions you are a disgrace to footballfans everywhere.

He is physical and plays violently. He is a great player, but he could and should have been fined $100,000.00 this past season alone.
The whistle stops the play, but when other athletes are on the ground, you have to relent.
Dawk never hits after the whistle, that is Runyan if anyone. Dawk plays clean, but he hits hard. GiantChampion is just bitter than the bum Ike Hilliard was too much of a pansy to take what Dawk had to dish out.
GiantChampions, I was ready to post this long response explaining to you why you are an idiot. But you did such a great job letting everyone know in just three sentences. Congratulations.
P.S. It looks like Avery is going to end up back in New York. So enjoy that. You give Giants fans a bad name. Learn the game.
F*ck Dawkins. He's a dirty player, good riddance from the NFC East. Cheat.
It's not like Dawkins ever hit Adrian Peterson in the back of the head when he was already down in a play-off game. Giantchamopins is right...Dawkins leads with his head, period. Learn the game? One should lead with their shoulder. I coach kids and if they tackle leading with their head they could get paralyzed. What kind of football are they teaching in Philly?
