Cutler Saga Gets The 'Gate'
When any ongoing controversy gets the "gate" treatment, you know its gone on far too long.
The staring contest between the Broncos and their quarterback Jay Cutler has been hokily dubbed "McJaygate" possibly because "The Cutdaniels Impasse" was too big for a headline.
In any event, The Denver Post is now running a daily capsule update on where things stand. Today's missive churned out by Mike Klis says, "Cutler has decided to get away from the business of staying away. According to friends, Cutler left his offseason home in Nashville, Tenn., to retreat to another U.S. destination we won't name. It appears Cutler will stay away from the Broncos' Dove Valley complex for the next two weeks."

About this blog
Drilling deeply into the mantle layer of America's Passion, NBCSports.com's Tom Curran offers up quick hits and insights on all things NFL.
Dear Mr. Curran,
The story should not be about the Lovie Smith comparison but instead the arrogance of the commissioner suggesting that Mike owes remorse to the NFL community "and to me". You and the commissioner think like 'the entitled ones'. If NFL rules allow felons to play ball, then Mr. Vick can play. Period.
Given he electrocuted, body-slammed, drowned and strangled dogs - and ran an interstate dogfighting ring - if he isn't contrite, remorseful and convincing in his apology he's bad for business. Hence, he's unemployable. (He may be bad for business even if he is convincing).
Where'd you get the idea felons get to just march back into their place of employment and start working again?
