Javon Walker to stay in Oakland

If Terrell Owens joins the Raiders, he'll have another big name lining up across from him.  Javon Walker underwent a "major restructuring" of his contract, according to the San Francisco Chronicle

A $5 million roster bonus was removed and Walker took a huge paycut in his base salaries.  He will make $4.6 million over the next two years.  Including the roster bonus, Walker will make more than 300% less than he was scheduled.

It was still a good move for Walker, because no one would have given him that money on the open market.  Walker caught 15 passes for $12 million last season, and many believe his knees will never be right again.  They could look a lot better if Terrell Owens is taking away defensive attention next year.

Everybody can talk all of the trash & nonsense they want too, the clear fact is, the Oakland Raiders are going to be a GREAT up & coming team in the next few years, after decades of futility we finally have put together a few good drafts and have a core of young players that are going to be the nucleus of a team to reckon with in the AFC for the next ten years. Russel & McFadden are going to be great, throw T.O. in the next with two maybe three more productive seasons and we may have a division winner or at least a wild card birth this year or next. Our defense is solid, special teams is better than most, and our offense is obviously on the rise. So button up your lip's "Raider Haters", Silver & Black is back. Go Raiders.
