Marvin Lewis: 'Chad's not getting moved'
Chad Ochocinco may be "crying" to get out Cincinnati, but coach Marvin Lewis isn't sympathetic.
"I don't know why people continue with the speculation of moving Chad," Lewis said at his pre-draft presser Tuesday. "Many times we've reiterated, I don't know if we're keeping count on this, Chad's not getting moved."
Well, then. Lewis went on to say that the team would probably draft a receiver for depth at some point, like most teams. "I don't think we're going to pick a guy that's going to be better than Chad. I haven't seen that guy yet."
Lewis' strong words support a Cincinnati Enquirer report that no team has even offered a third-round pick for Ocho. With his stock so low and the market flooded with younger options (Anquan Boldin, Braylon Edwards), the Bengals may have realized they won't get value by selling low on number 85, no matter how much he's crying.
Or maybe it's all a smokescreen. That's why this week is so fun.

Well, I know Chad Ochocinco is good, but you can't force a guy to play for your team once he has made up in his mind that he doesn't want to be there. I don't know what the Bengals are thinking, but if they plan to make his life misserable by keeping him, they better start building a team around him at least in an effort to improve the team as a whole. LeBron's speculations to going to the Knicks was because the Cavs didn't seem to be going anywhere. Now their team is the hottest in the NBA. I know, apples to oranges, but forcing Chad to stay and do nothing to improve conditions is just wrong. The Bengals have so many loosing seasons with Ochocinco there, that if they value keeping him so much, they should at least get him a better QB. You just can't win with a WR alone.
If you go to the Bengals website and look at their active roster, Chad's name is not on there anywhere, at least as of 7:23 p.m. on 4/21. I don't know if it's a mistake or if it means something.
He goes to the super bowl as a "journalist" and has his website up and running and can't pay a hosting company enough to carry the bandwidth. What a two bit operation. He probably has the first doallar he ever screwed his clients out of. He should spend less on his Eddie Munster hairdo and more on tech fees to keep his site up and running.
yea i dont see ochocinco on the bengals.com roster either. not even under his old name
Umm, JP, you want them to get a better Quarterback than Carson Palmer? Hello!? There isn't one.
Jp you obviously don't watch bengals but everybody knows carson is a good qb THEY DONT HAVE A OFFENSIVE LINE so therefore he does not have time to throw the ball and gets killed back there. but thanks for trying to have an input on something you know nothing about
@Bondem777
Yep, OchoNoShow isn't on the roster under Johnson or OchoCinco.
*****
That bodes well for me. I would just assume they park his butt on the pine (or fiberglass) and let the guys that want to be there play ball.
Florio is still killing hampsters!
Ocho is back on Active roster..11:46 est, 4/21
