1 hour after men's final

After watching near completion of the first two sets of the Men's finals I thought the match would be over in three sets and Roddick would come out the winner.

Federer wasn't hitting the ball with confidence as he did throughout the Championships. Perhaps the notion of making history was weighing heavily on his shoulders.

I'm not sure he felt he deserved winning this final and neither did the public at Centre Court. Roddick started out flawlessly and seemed unbeatable. He did play much better tennis than Federer but in the end couldn't keep up his initial pace. This match was pretty much a serving contest and never had the excitement of the 2008 Wimbledon final.

I am still glad Federer made history but wish he had done it with more panache.

I was greatly disappointed with the commentary of John McEnroe throughout the whole Men's final match between Roger Federer and Andy Roddick today.

From the beginning to the end of the match, any and all positive comments were about Andy Roddick. The few positive comments about Roger Federer seemed grudgingly given.

I know that NBC is an American television station reporting on a sporting event that includes an American, but to exclude positive talk about the five-time Wimbledon champion and the all-time greatest male tennis player as if he were some junior player not worthy of mention is poor reporting on behalf of NBC who should be more impartial and respectful of Roger Federer's accomplishments.

I'm not sure if it was "Rose Colored Glasses" or which song it was because the snippet was too short, but I know it was Animal Logic. LOVE IT! There's a band that should have been HUGE! Anyway, I hope someone kicks Federer's butt soon- maybe Nadal again. Or better yet: a rematch on the court! Or better yet: a boxing match!

Andy played the best couple of matches I've ever seen him play. This was a great step for him. If he can go this far and play this well, he can certainly do it again. I don't understand why NBC isn't talking about his play more?
