Close but No Cigar Week

Preview: The fifth season of NBC’s hit late night show Poker After Dark gets off to a great start this week with a match that nearly everyone involved with the production of the show lists as one of the most entertaining matches they have ever filmed.  Dubbed “Close But No Cigar,” this week’s cast of characters has all made the final table of the World Series of Poker Championship at one time or another during their careers, but came up just short of winning the coveted title.  Those putting up $20,000 and competing for the $120,000 winner-take-all first prize are Andy Black, Lee Watkinson, Dewey Tomko, David Williams, Allen Cunningham, and Mike Matusow. Combined, these six players have lifetime tournament winnings in excess of $36 million.

Analysis: Let's not kid ourselves... like him or not, Matusow is entertaining and Andy Black's a pretty good talker as well.
