2009 WSOP update: Main Event - Day 1d

The final part of Day 1 is now over with a massive field of 2,809 players competing.

The final total of 6,494 players have entered the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, creating a total prize pool of $61,043,600. The overall winner will take home over $8.5 million, and each member of this year's November Nine is guaranteed to come away a millionaire. Of the 2,809 who came out on Monday, approximately 1,900 survived the five levels to return on Day 2.

On Day 1d, the Chip leader is Troy Weber (353,000).

Big names knocked out: Ray Romano, Scott Clements, Scott Fischman, David Williams, Ivan Demidov, Jeff Madsen

Big names with big stacks: Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, J.C. Tran, David Benyamine, Chad Brown, Kenny Tran, and Phil Ivey
