2009 WSOP update: Main Event - Day 3

There were 2,044 players participating in Day 3 and now the field is down to 789 players.

Players will return on Saturday for Day 4 where action will begin at noon PT and we'll get into the money where the top 648 will cash.

At the end of the day the chip leader was well-known poker pro Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier (1,380,500).

Big names with big stacks: Phil Ivey (365,000), David Benyamine (350,000), Phil Hellmuth (550,000), Antonio Esfandiari (250,000) Paul Wasicka (270,000), JC Tran (183,600), Kenny Tran (532,000), Lou Diamond Phillips (415,000), Peter Eastgate (310,000), Dennis Phillips (360,000) and Dan Harrington (200,000)
