Top Seeds Holding Round

Rafael Nadal's victory over Nicolas Almagro was one of the most amazing displays of clay court tennis that Roland Garros has seen.  The legend of Rafa is growing by the day in Paris, and what's making him even more dangerous is the fact that he not only wins with skill, but also intimidation.  Have you ever heard of something more intimidating than: "Three-time defending French Open Champion," or "Undefeated at Roland Garros"?  It's safe to say that this IS Rafa's House, and he's not ready to give up his crown any time soon.  What's adding to the excitement is that Roger Federer is also playing his most inspired tennis of the 2008 season, and is more focused than ever to finally hoist a French trophy.  Furthermore Novak Djokovic has shown a lot of heart by battling through his early round matches.  Novak's victory over Gulbis may have been straight sets, but the baseline exchanges were beyond impressive.  Gulbis was hitting "lasers" on both sides, while Novak was able to use his pace and grind his way to the semifinals.  The top 3 players in the world are living up to their billing, and it should lead to an exciting final four in Paris.
