Federer Sets All Time ATP Prize Money Mark
MUTUA MADRILENA MASTERS MADRID
Roger Federer is ending his 2008 season with a bang. The Swiss star earned a spot in the Madrid third round with a straight set win over Stepanek. The win also makes Roger the all-time money earner in ATP history, surpassing Pete Sampras (Roger now has $43,300,847 in prize money..not too shabby?). Note that Rafael Nadal pulled out of the event with a lower back injury...hence PLEASE shorten the pro tennis season, give these grinders some rest so we can watch the best tennis every time they take the court.
